Flight of Icarus Guitar Lesson – Iron Maiden
In this Flight of Icarus guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this Iron Maiden classic note-for-note.
The tuning is standard tuning, E A D G B E.
The rhythm guitar parts for "Flight of Icarus" are relatively easy to play. Nothing too difficult to worry about for the intermediate level guitarist and above.
However, once the guitar solo sections start, the difficulty level ramps up quite a bit.
The first solo (played by Dave Murray) and the second solo (played by Adrian Smith), showcase their guitar amazing chops with fast legato licks and much much more.
Towards the end of the song we have quick harmony guitar section followed by an outro solo played by Dave Murray. I will cover all of that in detail as well.
Have fun learning this Iron Maiden classic! Carl...

Alone Guitar Lesson – Heart
In this Alone guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this great cover song by Heart on the guitar note-for-note. Including a guitar transcription of the piano sections!
The tuning is standard tuning, E A D G B E.
This great song starts with an instantly recognizable piano part. I have transcribed that piano part so that you can play it on one guitar. It is alway a bit challenging to play piano based sections on the guitar while still making them sound relatively convincing.
From there we will cover all of the actual guitar based rhythm parts during the pre-chorus and chorus sections.
After that, I will cover Howard Leese's amazing guitar solo note-for-note.
Have fun learning Heart's amazing cover of "Alone" which was originally recorded by i-Ten. I think Heart definitely made it their own with this much loved version! Carl...
