5 Essential Campfire Strumming Patterns - Campfire Guitarist Quick-Start Series #3
Get my FREE Beginner Guitar Starter Kit! ►https://goo.gl/Ts2uU6 As a campfire guitarist, you can really get away with just a few important strumming patterns. In this guitar lesson, we’ll be taking a look at the five essential strumming patterns every campfire guitar player should know. They might not be an exact match to the strumming patterns you’ll find in every song, but they’ll fit most. Before we get into the patterns, it’s important that we talk about strumming technique. The first technique tip is to relax everything. Your shoulder, elbow, wrist, and fingers should all be loose and floppy. Next, you’ll want to make sure you’re rotating your wrist when you strum. Lastly, you’ll want to experiment with different pick grips and make sure you don’t dig into the strings too much with your pick. Add these strumming patterns to your daily practice routine. If you’re new to strumming, you might want to isolate your downstrokes and upstrokes and practice them individually. Once you’ve nailed the technique, these patterns should be pretty easy to add to your toolbox.
