In case you missed it, there was a big football game on Sunday! We at Guitar Player heard that they call this yearly game the "Super Bowl."
Sarcasm aside, if you watched the Chiefs and 49ers go to battle Sunday night, you probably caught at least some of the game's halftime show, which was co-headlined by Shakira and Jennifer Lopez.
During the show, Shakira set the guitar universe in particular abuzz when she brought out a stunning custom Gibson Firebird. You can see the Colombian pop superstar rock out with the guitar starting at around the 1:33 mark below.
Now, we've learned more about the custom Firebird. According to Gibson, the guitar was adorned with 70,000 Swarovski jet hematite crystals. Though Shakira's been known to sport some flashy custom guitars in the past, it's pretty hard to top this one.
We just wonder if there's gonna be a Gibson Custom Shop replica model!
