Fender's biggest release of the year thus far has undoubtedly been the American Acoustasonic Stratocaster.
Like its sibling, the American Acoustasonic Telecaster, the Acoustasonic Strat is a hybrid acoustic/electric guitar built with a hollow body and Fender's Stringed Instrument Resonance System.
In celebration of this innovative new guitar, Fender has been trotting out an eyebrow-raising team of six-string specialists - among them blues-rock revivalist Tyler Bryant, who recently dueled with Acoustasonic Tele-wielding Nashville ace Daniel Donato - to take it through its paces. Fender's latest all-star recruit for its Acoustasonic jam series is blues guitar icon Kenny Wayne Shepherd.
In the video above, you can watch Shepherd - along with Double Trouble drummer Chris Layton and bassist Kevin McCormick - take the Acoustasonic Strat on an epic sonic journey.
Honestly, we wouldn't mind these three pros playing together more often, Acoustasonic or not!
