Hi fellow guitarists friends,
Everyone knows that tabs are not the best way to learn guitar. It might be the easiest and fastest way to learn a song but not the best way. For instance learning by ears and trying to figure it out by yourself is probably much better.
Since few months I'm thinking of creating a guitar method based only on audio (like Pimsleur for those who are familiar with this langage learning method). You would listen to audio lessons everyday (30mins), the teacher will play licks or chords progressions, gives instructions and the listener would have to replicate what was play immediatly. A PDF/book will be given to the student so he will be able to see tabs and have a visual recap of the lesson just after he completed the audio lesson.
I believe this could be a very effective way to train the hear and improve one's ability to play the guitar more efficiently and fluently.
What do you guys think of it ? Would you like to learn that way ?
I've not heard of such a method, but if you know one let me know :)
