Is it okay if I learn on a 7/8 scale guitar?

I'm about to buy my first guitar and I really wanted to get the Jackson JS22 Dinky but it's a 7/8 (the neck is still a 25.5 inch). Will this hurt me in the future or am I okay to learn on it?
