is learning through songs alone a good way to go?

i was taking online classes with a structured approach but i didnt found the process interesting enough. that led to me not playing consistently enough, now i have switched to learning songs directly and im finding it way more interesting and also playing consistently though its stiill new days. should i continue with and if yes, and tips? plus any good resource to learn songs on, that is easy to understand as a beginner who doesnt know scales etc

( i have been playing in total for a few months))
