Minor barre chord shape

I am playing guitar for 10 months now an after 5-th month I can ring out the major barre chords. However even now I have to push very hard to ring the 3 string. The shape I am talking about where the root note is in the 6th string. I noticed that when I move my finger a bit higher it rings with very little strength. But then the first string doesn't ring out because that part of my finger is soft. It seems like the problem is the part correspond to the bottom two string in my finger is too hard and thick that blocks upper part to press to the 3rd string. Since I played mostly major chord because they were a bit easier at the beginning my middle finger pressing to the 3rd string all the time, and the part corresponds to in my barre finger didn't harden. I have no idea how I can get that part harder right now. I have tried find answers from videos but they didn't help.
