Hey everyone,
My only interest is fingerstyle, players like Sungha jung, Andrew Foy etc. i don't wanna play in a band or sing, just solo fingerstyle.
I can't seem to find any structured course other than the really basic beginner ones, i'm kind of stumbling around the net, watching videos that i think are helpful. I like the content of LickNRiff for example but it's impossible to use him as only source because of lack of any structure.
The advice online just confuses me completely because everyone seems to have a different opinion on what to do, some people say ignore theory, scales etc and just focus on learning as many pieces as possible until things start to click, others completely disagree and as a beginner i can't tell who is right.
Currently my practice routine consists of :
- 10 min - technique work (scales, exercises)
- 30 min - make progress on songs i'm learning
- 10-15 min - play stuff i know and wind down
i do this 4+ times a day.
So my question is the title basically and i'll take any advice / routine recommendations / book recommendations and also, what would you have done differently now that you are at that point?
Thanks.
