DiMarzio has announced its new Fantom P90 set of pickups.
The concept behind the set is to emulate the growl, grittiness and tonal precision of a vintage set of P90s, but without the noisiness and omnipresent hum that tends to accompany them.
Available in three models - soapbar, dog ear or mounted into a full-size humbucking cover - the pickups fit into a P90 cover and use four coils. The pickups also work in all positions.
DiMarzio’s Fantom P90 model pickups are available now for $169.99, for the full-size version, and $149.99, for the P90 Dog Ear and Soapbar models.
