| | Hey, I wanted to share with you this new video where I take a simple chord progression made by 3 chords and I play it in 8 different styles of music. The chords are C#m, G#m and F#m. It’s i v iv in C#m. Sometimes they’re played with the 7ths too. Although changing the chord progression would have helped recalling some stylistic clichés, the goal of this video is demonstrating how the rhythms and the techniques involved affect the style you’re playing. I played these chords as R’n’B, Reggae, Bossa Nova, Funk, Latin, Pop, Acoustic Rock and Swing. 3 chords, 8 styles. I enjoy very much playing different genres, it’s like speaking different languages and I think it provides essential skills to a musician. Here is the full video with the same example in 8 styles: https://youtu.be/jLjIZ4vmSH4 Please let me know if you’d have included other styles as well. Hope you like it! Thanks for checking this out.
