I'm very new and recently started taking things more seriously. I want to learn my first complete song, and the plan is to learn the next part if I can play everything before that at 100bpm. When I can do the entire song I start over again, at 105 bpm, and so on until I can play it at full speed.
I'm making nice progress every week, but I'm wondering if I'm maybe practicing at a too high bpm. I could drop it 10-15bpm and probably play without fucking up, but I feel like I'm not learning much then. What's your take? Is it actually more useful to play near perfectly but at a speed that doesn't feel challenging?
This is a rather typical full take, but usually I repeat the parts that I fail at a lot instead of doing the entire thing. That goes somewhat more smoothly than this:

The song is bed of razors btw
