Though usually a Maton player, Tommy Emmanuel has a new signature acoustic guitar with Larrivée.
The C-03R-TE Custom is based on a one-off model Larrivée built for Emmanuel several years ago - a C-10 12-fret acoustic with an Angel headstock inlay. In 2017, as a part of the company's 50th anniversary celebrations, Larrivée built a replica of the guitar and gave it away at a Tommy Emmanuel show in Santa Barbara, CA.
After Larrivée was swamped with inquiries about the guitar following the giveaway, the company teamed up with Emmanuel to build a version of the guitar for its 03 Series.
Like its one-off counterpart, the C-03R-TE features an East Indian rosewood back and sides, a BC Sitka spruce top, a florentine cutaway and a 12-fret neck joint.
The Larrivée C-03R-TE Custom Tommy Emmanuel guitar is available now for $2,898.
