Can Fingers be the wrong shape for guitar?

Guitarist of 2 years mostly open chords and acoustic guitar.

Started with Barre Chords around 8 months ago and finally I can play E shape major and minor 90% clean

A minor shape also works and A major shape requires insane thumb pressure and I can play maybe 5 of these chords every 10 minutes to let my hand rest

The real problem to me are A shape dominant 7 or minor 7 where the G-string has to be barred. My index also needs to mute the low E. But when my fingertip mutes the E then the G-String is precisely in the joint crevice of my index

Yes I do roll my finger and I do sit correctly. But the G-String is exactly at the part of my finger where there i only skin, no bone so I cant press it down

Its not a question of strength

So how should I go about this? I play a Seagull S6 Original with a wide neck and my fingers are pretty normal size. Not long at all but not short either
