Catalinbread has introduced a unique new fuzz/distortion effects unit, the Blood Donor pedal.
A revamped version of the company's Katzenkonig pedal, all profits from the Blood Donor will be donated to the Red Cross, which is facing a critical blood shortage due to the innumerable coronavirus-related cancellations of blood drives.
Catalinbread is also, of course, encouraging buyers - and anyone else who can - to donate blood themselves to assist with the shortage.
Spec-wise, the Blood Donor features a new transistor set designed to allow for more gain and saturation, and a reduced noise floor. Each of the pedal's controls have also seen their width increased.
Those four control knobs have also been renamed to fit in with the theme: "Please" (filter level), "Give" (gain), "Your" (volume) and "Blood" (input signal level).
The Catalinbread Blood Donor pedal will begin shipping on April 6 for $179.99.
