Ever listen to Queen and daydream about being on stage with the rock superstars? Well, these four lucky musicians got about as close as you can get to that experience.
Brian May - Red Special in hand, of course - recently teamed up with Brits Chris Allan (drums) and Ally McLachlin (bass), plus Spaniard Danny Gomez (guitar) and American Mig Ayesa on vocals & keyboards for a rousing, virtual and trans-continental jam on the Queen classic, "Hammer to Fall." You can check it out above.
All four guest musicians put on an impressive performance. Though, considering the fact that Gomez and Ayesa are veterans of We Will Rock You - the long-running jukebox musical based on Queen's music - that shouldn't come as too much of a surprise.
May has been keeping himself quite busy during the coronavirus lockdown, putting on jams such as these - which he's dubbed the 'Hammer to Fall' challenge" - and teaching fans how to play some of his most famous licks and solos. Guitarists have also been paying tribute to May with balcony serenades of their own.
