What’s a simple set up for looping and recording?

I love to write and play guitar when a moment of inspiration comes, but I either end up playing without recording and it gets lost on me, or i get overwhelmed with figuring out recording and editing software and it never gets done.

I just want to be free to play and have the simplest overhead possible.

I use an acoustic-electric guitar.

What’s the ideal super simple set up to allow me to pick up and play within seconds, loop my groves and play on top of it, and keep everything neatly recorded with low maintenance?
