I just got a guitar because I listen to a lot of Congolese music and sebene guitar is the best from Africa. As soon as I got it I had to add the 2 bottom strings but was listening to some crazy music so I decided to just get to know the guitar and pretend to play, just moving my hands around the frets as if I knew what I was doing to get a feel for it while singing and it was pretty awesome. After trying to put these strings on and tune them for hours and having them come out I got frustrated and decided to order some damn pizza. After the pizza came though I was listening to music and started doing it again and to be honest it’s kind of addictive. Did anyone else do the same type of thing when starting or still do it today? I see it as an extension of the enjoyment of music and probably good for the hands so when I get into actually learning more it might help.
EDIT : What should I be learning right now even if I can’t completely play it yet?
