What Favorite Songs Drive Your Learning?

So, made this discovery today: wanting to learn a favourite song (or album actually) of mine instantly pushed me well beyond previous practice sessions 🥴 I know the technique, scales and theory also form part of learning, but really wanting to play (and sing/mumble) the beloved songs was great motivation for me 💪 “Wanna play this one? Well, better get these three barre chords sorted!” And so I had to. And I did 🙂

And as stated elsewhere, those 5-10 minutes I intended to practice, turned into half an hour 🙂👍

What are your biggest motivational factors for practicing, playing and enjoying it, all at the same time?
