Otherside Guitar Lesson – Red Hot Chili Peppers

In this Otherside guitar lesson video, I will show you to play this smash hit off of the Red Hot Chili Peppers' Californication album note-for-note.

The tuning is standard tuning, E A D G B E.

The is one of John Frusciante's easier songs to play on the guitar. The main riff is just single notes. However, the pre-chorus incorporates some difficult muting and large stretches. I will demonstrate various ways of accomplishing the muting the way that Frusciante does it.

I will be covering each riff in the order that each appears on the original recording. In addition to that, I will cover Frusciante's solo note-for-note as well.
