In this Space Age Love Song guitar lesson, I will show you how to play this amazing song from A Flock Of Seagulls note-for-note.
The tuning is standard tuning, E A D G B E.
Guitarist Paul Reynolds creates such great atmospheric guitar parts that always fit the song perfectly. In the case of "Space Age Love Song", he uses a dotted 8th note delay to help him propel the energy of the music forward.
He then kicks in a little bit of gain and plays simple triad shapes arpeggiated in descending fashion that seem to just soar over the music. Very very cool stuff.
I will take you through the entire song in the order that each section appears on the original recording. There are a couple of variations thrown in there so don't skip any sections!
Have fun learning this great 80's classic! Carl...
