In this guitar lesson video for "Feel the Pain", I will show you how to play this hit song by Dinosaur Jr. note-for-note.
The tuning is standard tuning (E A D G B E) with a capo at the 3rd fret.
There are TWO instantly recognizable guitar riffs in this one. One is heard during the intro and verse and is very easy to play. The second one is more challenging but equally fun.
I will go through each section of the song in the order that each appears on the original recording.
The last thing we will cover is J Mascis' great guitar solo that closes out the song. I will show you how to play that solo note-for-note.
