Meet the "Les-o-caster," a Double-Neck Strat/Les Paul Combo Guitar

Meet the "Les-o-caster," a Double-Neck Strat/Les Paul Combo Guitar

We don't have to tell you that guitarists love modding their guitars, particularly Strats, to fit their particular needs.

The world is full of Strats and even Les Pauls that have had every conceivable mod made to them - and then some. But have you ever seen the two iconic guitars combined outright?

Enter the "Les-o-caster," an absolutely bonkers creation from the mind of Call of the Kraken guitarist Conrad Snook.

This double-neck instrument features a 2011 Fender MIM Stratocaster Standard and a copy of a Zakk Wylde custom Bullseye Les Paul, Bareknuckle Mother's Milk single coil pickups for the Strat and a boutique Gemini Pickups PAF set for the Les Paul.

“I got the idea after sound checking at a music venue which had a bunch of guitars mounted on the walls in its bar area,” Snook told Guitar World about the genesis of the guitar.

“I think there was a Strat, Les Paul, Tele and Flying V, but most notably, a Gibson EDS-1275 double neck. I remember looking at it and thinking that I liked the idea of having a double neck guitar, but how often would I use the 12-string during a gig?

"That was when the idea came to me: why not have a double-neck guitar that includes the two most common types of guitar?”
