I play for my youth band at church along with another guitarist. Today during practice. We took turns on each song. He has a squier affinity strat. I have a squier bullet tele. When he had his guitar plugged in and was playing, I could hear it on the stage. When I plugged mine in, I couldn’t hear it, but a singer said it was playing. Is there usually such a difference in the volumes of a strat and a tele. I’m fairly new to learning about the electrics of the guitars. Is it a natural thing to happen? My volume on the guitar was all the way up as was his. Idk any advice on how to fix this or what the problem might be would be greatly appreciated. For context, the strat is a couple years old and the tele is brand new from March. The bridge pickup on the tele also doesn’t work unless I giggle the switch and then it’s still quieter than the neck. My thought is that if the guitar shipped with a messed up bridge pickup, maybe the volume is also a bit messed up? If this is the case, would I be able to go to a guitar center store and have them fix it?
