Looking for easy to learn beginner Legend of Zelda songs to play on guitar

I'm a complete beginner but I picked up a used electric guitar because I've always wanted to learn I'm currently having it set up and tuned at a local music store. Anyway I'm looking for some Legend of Zelda songs that are simple to learn on guitar because my girlfriend loves LoZ and I thought it'd be an nice thing to do for her. So I'm looking for anyone that knows some simple LoZ songs and could provide anything to help me learn. I've been trying to learn Sarias Song using the app Tabs.

Your Decision Guitar Lesson – Alice In Chains

In this Your Decision guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this great song off of Alice In Chains' Black Gives Way To Blue album.

The tuning is Eb standard. That is, starting from the 6th string, Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb.

I will go through each chord progression in the order that each appears on the original recording. Even though I will be demonstrating the chords on acoustic guitar, there is also an electric guitar strumming the chords for most of the song as well. So just use whichever guitar type you want.

After going through all of the chords, I will then grab my strat and go through all of the guitar fills and Jerry Cantrell's main solo note-for-note.

I hope you guys enjoy learning this great Alice In Chains song! Carl...

Night Fever Guitar Lesson – Bee Gees

In this Night Fever guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play all of the chords to this smash hit by the Bee Gees.

The tuning is standard tuning, E A D G B E.

As I mention in the video lesson, Barry Gibb has a very unique way of playing chords on the guitar that involve throwing it in an open tuning and using simple bar shapes across the fretboard.

Instead of playing those chord voicings, I have instead decided to teach the song in standard tuning using chords that sort of combine the harmony of all of the instruments heard on the record. I think this will more closely resemble the chord voicings heard by the synths, guitars, etc... on the original recording, with the added benefit of keeping the guitar in standard tuning.

There are some great chord progressions in this one with some cool use of chromatic harmony to accompany those incredible vocals.

I will cover each chord progression in the song in the order that each appears on the original recording.

Have fun learning this classic from the Bee Gees! Carl...

To Love Somebody Guitar Lesson – Bee Gees

In this To Love Somebody guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play all the chords for this great song by the Bee Gees.

The tuning is standard tuning, E A D G B E.

This arrangement is NOT how Barry Gibb typically plays the guitar chords for this song. He usually puts his guitar into an open tuning and uses a basic barre chord shapes around the fretboard for the chords. However, I have arranged those chords here for a standard tuned guitar. It works great in standard tuning and uses mostly basic open position triads.

I will take you through each chord progression in the order that each appears on the original recording.

Have fun learning this beautiful ballad by the Bee Gees! Carl...

How To Disappear Completely Guitar Lesson – Radiohead

In this How To Disappear Completely guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this beautiful song off of Radiohead's KID A album in its entirety.

The tuning is standard tuning with a capo placed at the 2nd fret.

The are just four chords used for the entire song, along with some slight embellishments on most of the chords. If you can play your basic open position chords, you won't have much trouble with this one.

I will cover each section of the song in the order that each appears on the original recording.

I hope you guys enjoy learning this amazing song from one of my favorite bands! Carl...

I Miss You Guitar Lesson – blink-182

In this I Miss You guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play all the guitar chords to this smash hit ballad by blink-182 on acoustic guitar.

The tuning is standard tuning with a capo placed at the 2nd fret.

We only have a couple of chord progressions to tackle in "I Miss You". However, for one of these chord progressions, I will show you a couple of different ways to play it. One of those ways is the way Tom DeLonge actually plays it, and the other way sort of recreates the sound of the string section and acoustic guitars together, which might sound closer to the original recording to your ear if you don't have a bass player and string section playing along with you. 🙂

I will demonstrate both chords progressions in the order that each appears on the original recording.

Have fun learning this blink-182 classic! Carl...

Sleep Now In The Fire Guitar Lesson – Rage Against The Machine

In this Sleep Now In The Fire guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this great song from Rage Against The Machine in its entirety.

The tuning is standard tuning, E A D G B E.

There are three sections we will need to cover. That instantly recognizable main riff, the verse section that uses a digitech whammy pedal to create a guitar harmony, and Tom Morello's feedback based solo.

Of those three sections, we will be able to learn two of them in detail. However, the solo isn't something that can be consistently recreated exactly like the recording, even by Tom, since feedback can be so unpredictable.

I will demonstrate the techniques used during the solo though, including the use of a toggle/kill switch and whammy bar along with the feedback.

For me, the funnest part of the song by far is the main riff. You will really want to dig with this one. Tom plays it very consistently for the whole song which allows us to learn it note-for-note pretty easily. But giving it that attitude is a whole 'nother story! 🙂

For the verse sections, I mention that I feel Tom has messed around with that section in live performances so that it is a bit different than the studio recording. I will demonstrate how to play the recorded version and also the way Tom plays it live now.

Have fun learning this powerful track from Rage Against The Machine! Carl...

Learning Licks with Soundslice

Soundslice is an amazing tool to learn from in my opinion. I wish I would have had something like this when I was learning. It would have sped up the learning process for me no doubt about it.

I recently updated all of the Soundslices in the All Access Pass where you learn a solo to have two new files in the recordings menu at the bottom of the player.

This will give you access to seamless loops and also the ability to change between the backing track and performance with no lag. To me this is a great feature you can use to test how well you have learned any section of a solo.

To gain access to all of the Soundslices on the site check out the All Access Pass.
