I want to learn guitar professionally

I am a beginner guitar player. I have an electric guitar and I learn my favorite songs using tabs available on YouTube and other websites. But there other songs that I want to learn but no tabs are available. I want to learn how to play any solo and riffs without using tabs but just figuring out by myself. I know its a long process but I want to dedicate myself for this skill. Please suggest me anything (YouTube channels, websites, books etc.) how can I learn music theories properly. I am stuck. I cannot just read tabs all the time. Please help me

Reading Rhythms

I am a self taught guitar player. I cant read pitch in relation to the guitar. I want to be able to read rhythms and listen to different rhythms and understand whats going on and apply it to the guitar. Are there any books or resources that is comprehensive that takes you from beginner to advanced concepts?

Why does the 3rd fret of the A string sounds so wobbly compared to the rest?

Why does the 3rd fret of the A string sounds so wobbly compared to the rest?

I’m pretty sure I tuned all the strings correctly and none of the other frets do it.

Can anyone help me? It kinda drives me insane.

I noticed that the low E kinda does it also but not to the same extent.

How to play this properly?

How to play this properly?

Is there a missing open string on the 4th string? I can read the most basic tabs but anything other than what a blind can read is lost on me

What should I learn next?

I’ve been playing acoustic for a few years but feel really stuck. I’m not a beginner but also don’t feel like I know THAT much. I know all the basic chords and most bar chords. I feel like I’m really good with finger picking songs - but then some feel wayyy too hard and intimidating. Whenever I pick up my guitar I just mess around with a few songs I already know because I don’t know what new stuff I should work on. I have a pretty good understanding of basic music theory so I don’t really want to dive into that anymore. An ideas?

If my guitar action is high, would yall recommend if i just put a capo on 2nd fret and just tune down? (I Don’t want to stunt my practice)

So i have an acoustic with around a 4mm action rn. It’s not horrible but I just want it to be more comfortable.

When i place my capo, the strings go down a bit which is good, but when i tune down, the strings get like reallyyy flimsy.

My goal is to play an electric one day and i would rather practice with harder/same level strings than easier strings on the acoustic, so i when i pick up an electric it’s easier.

I’ve never felt an electric before so would y’all say it’s similar to tuned down strings + a capo?

Thanks!

How long do y’all watch online lessons for?

Been playing acoustic fingerstyle for about 2 months now. My brother plays a lot of guitar and taught me a few things when I first picked it up. He also told me that I should learn the rest of the basics from Justin Guitar, then jump into trying to learn songs I enjoy. He said that this way I can learn, but also will be enjoying myself enough to not quit like so many do.

I feel like I have a good grasp on the basics and habits to avoid. And I can play a few chord songs and a few tab songs decently well. After watching maybe 7-8 lessons?

Question: Is this a bad way to go about it? How long did you all watch online tutorials for before you stopped and started winging it?

Learning the blues

What is the best way to learn the blues from the beginning? Playing 20 years. I can play but my theory definitely needs work. Should I start with theory first? Any recommendations on how to start? Thanks!

Strumming Help

Hi! I’m learning to play the guitar by myself and I’m struggling with the strumming, I’m watching tutorials online but i feels like - from the videos I watch - I’m supposed to wrest know this, since it’s not discussed in much detail. Also, I can read tabs just fine, but how i’m supposed to know how the song is meant to be played? Thx for the attention

feedback.

feedback.

i know it's not friday. 😂 i've been playing since the end of 2023. self taught between youtube and reading books from a local guitar store.

i've gotten better (i think) but when i palm mute chords—it's really hard to MUTE and not strum the higher strings. not thin skinned. feel free to tear me apart. i just need advice and feedback.

excuse the excitement at the end; that's best i've played that song so far. 😂

What should I learn?

After learning chords and being able to play many songs. What would you say is the most important aspect of the guitar to learn? I continue to see professional musicians talk about how they don’t know any theory. How are they putting together solos and creating great songs with out this knowledge?
